Synonymy

• Tydeus goetzi, original combination, also used by Kaźmierski (1998: 343) and by Silva et al. (2016: 35)
• Orthotydeus goetzi, subsequent combination used by André (1980: 128) and by Khanjani & Ueckermann (2003: 1)

Notes

• Type species of Orthotydeus.
• The species was redescribed from France by André (2011: 77–80).
• The species was also redescribed and illustrated from Turkey by Akyazi et al. (2017: 11-14).
• The species was also redescribed and illustrated from Iran by Ahmad-Hosseini et al. (2019: 137-139).
• The species was first identified as Tydeus caudatus by Akyazi et al. (2017: 12). Tydeus caudatus auctorum might designate Tydeus goetzi, at least in somes cases (André, 2021: 1031).
• Might be the current name of Koch's species, T. viburni. See the discussion on Tydeus viburni.
