  • Type locality: moss in the lagoons of Zempoala, Morelos (Mexico).
  • Holotype: -

  • Briefly (his fig. 21) redescribed from Chile by González (1961: 41-42) after determination by Baker.
  • Listed as "ancient species" by Kaźmierski (1998: 358).
  • The species was synonymized with Tydeus kochi by Baker (1970: 170). However, the specimens identified as kochi by Baker (1970: 170–171) surely belong to another species than that described by Oudemans (1928) as they do not have clavate setae (André, 2005: 981).
  • Species not listed by Silva et al. (2016)
