Anthonie Cornelis Oudemans
Anthonie Cornelis Oudemans (1858–1943), Dutch entomologist and acarologist.
Collection & taxa described edit
In 1942, he donated the Rijksmuseum van Natuurlijke Historie his important collection of mites (Acari). This collection numbers 5981 slides (1316 species). After his death, the accompanying drawings were bequeathed to the museum as well. Oudemans' mite collection is described by Buitendijk (1945). The list of Oudemans' publications (584 papers and books) as well as the list of taxa he described (194 mite genera and 731 species) are given in the obituary by Eyndhoven (1943).
