Notes

edit
  • Oudemans’ publications require a thorough analysis as he referred to three species under the name croceus and changed his interpretation of Linnaeus’ species. For further information, please refer to André (2005). This Tydeus croceus has no "spatulate" setae, for a redescription based on Oudemans' collection, see also André (2005: 988-990)
  • Type species of the genus Calotydeus designated by Oudemans (1937: 922), designation repeated by André (2005: 976, 995).
  • Listed as "ancient species" by Kaźmierski (1998: 357)
