Systema Naturae
Systema Naturae, or fully Systema Naturæ per regna tria naturæ, secundum classes, ordines, genera, species, cum characteribus, differentiis, synonymis, locis is a book by Carolus Linnaeus, published in 1758 (Tomus I) and 1759 (Tomus II). It is considered by the The International Code of Zoological Nomenclature as a starting point of zoological nomenclature (along with Clerck's Aranei Svecici) (Article 3).
