  • Type locality: in moss (Norway)
  • Holotype: Lost. (After Thor's death, his entire collection was destroyed in accordance with his will.)

Notes

  • Type species of the genus Retetydeus [Thor (1931), Baker & Wharton (1952: 192)].
  • The similarity with bedfordiensis was reported by Baker (1968: 992).
  • The subjective synonymy is not reported by Silva et al. (2016).
  • The species was described from mosses in Norway and is listed in the checklist of Mehl (1979: 35). Species cited from Greece, South Africa... but never redescribed from Norway. The closest country where the species was collected is Sweden (Momen & Lundqvist, 1995).
