- Syntypes: BMNH 1946.1.12.77, adult ♂, donated by Haslar Museum; BMNH 1956.2.23.51, juvenile ♂, Rich collection [both West Africa], and juvenile ♂, collected by W. Logan [Old Calabar].
- Type locality: “West Africa” and “Old Calabar”.
