  • Type locality: Leaves of Buddleia verticillata (now Buddleja sessiliflora), km 67 (Ahuacatitlán, Mor.) of the highway México-Cuernavaca (Mexico)

  • The species was initially described by Baker (1943) on Mexican specimens.
  • It was redescribed by Knop & Hoy (1983) from the type slide (2 ♀♀) and adults collected in vineyards (Vitis vinifera L.) of the San Joaquin Valley (California).
