Noms d'autors

La secció del nom d'un article sobre un taxó ha de contenir l'autor d'aquest tàxon.

Ha d'estar enllaçat al nom apropiat de l'autor de l'article. En Wikispecies mantenim articles amb informació mínima. Assegura't que hi hagi un element corresponent a Wikidata.

S'ha de ingressar una categoria separada per a cada un dels coautors.

Per a tres coautors X, Y, Z, la forma de fer-ho seria:

For technical reasons there should be no spacing following the colon punctuation mark. Please note that these categories should only be included on taxon pages, and always at the very bottom of a page.

Named taxa

This section shows information automatically fetched from the [[Category:X taxa]] mentioned above. This is done by adding the {{Taxa authored}} template, in the following way:

Nothing more, nothing less. The "Authored taxon names" section should not include an inline list of all the taxa named by an author. The reason for this is that some authors have named hundreds or in some cases even several thousands of taxa. Listing them all directly on the author pages would clutter up the information and make the pages hard to read, as well as manage. Instead the above code will automatically add a link to the category listing all of the taxon names by that particular author. Also, merging taxa pages together in author specific categories can help when searching.

Catalog:Taxon Authorities ha de contenir la llista de totes les autoritats de tàxons referenciats per Wikispecies. Els autors s'afegeixen per cognom i en ordre alfabètic. Si tenen una abreviatura «oficial», està llistat en negreta i entre parèntesi. Considerem el IPNI com la font oficial d'abreviatures per botànics.

Referències per autors de tàxons

Hi ha un nombre de fonts d'informació sobre els autors de tàxons.

La Viquipèdia en francès té un portal d'història de la ciència molt desenvolupat.

La majoria de Viquipèdies tenen llistes per abreviatura d'autor.

També hi ha un bon nombre de fonts d'Internet.

Per als botànics, el IPNI està considerat com la font oficial per a les abreviatures.
Per als ornitòlegs, Zoonomen inclou una mica d'informació.
Per biòlegs marins, Biographical Etymology of Marine Organism Names (BEMON) lliurament molta informació bàsica.
