edit- The species is one of the 11 Tydeus described by Koch (1838).
- Listed as ‘‘ancient species’’ not identifiable by Kaźmierski (1998: 357).
- Redescribed from Oudeman's collection by André (2005: 990–991).
- Type-species of the genus Brachytydeus.
