Wikispecies:Policy
editUntil 2015 Wikispecies had a policy stating certain rules:
- Editing policy (Be civil, Do not start an edit war, No personal attacks, No one owns any articles)
- Deletion policy (Non-sense page, Wrong syntax or missing taxonomy, Copyright violation, Orphaned talk page)
- Enforcing policy (Warning and blocking)
During 2015 Wikispecies is in the process of performing an oversight of those rules as well as developing a local policy for different issues, of which some was previously handled by stewards.
Local admin activity review
editA policy regarding the removal of "advanced rights" (administrator, bureaucrat, etc) was adopted by global community consensus in 2013. According to this policy, the stewards are reviewing administrators' activity on all Wikimedia Foundation wikis with no inactivity policy.
Wikispecies is in the process of developing a local policy for admin activity review, e.g. establish a formal local Wikispecies process for removing "advanced rights" from inactive accounts.
Local Checkuser
editAs of 11 April 2007, CheckUsers must be at least 18 years of age, of legal age in their place of residence, and willing to provide identification to the Wikimedia Foundation in order to qualify. [1] |
Wikispecies is in the process of developing a local policy for Checkuser.
