Name

Atheris chlorechis (Pel, 1851) [conserved name]

• Lectotype: RMNH.RENA.1648, collected by H.S. Pel in 1849. [designated by Hoogmoed in Hughes & Barry (1969: 1030)]
• Type locality: “Boutry [=Butre]”, Ghana by lectotype designation by Hoogmoed in Hughes & Barry (1969: 1030).
• Paralectotypes (2): RMNH.RENA.1649 and RMNH.RENA.1650, from “Dabocrom”, Ghana, same data as the lectotype.
• Placed on the Official List of Generic Names in Zoology by Opinion 1634 (1991: 84).
