- Holotype: IBUNAM:CNMA 9243 (formerly MCGEM nº 527), adult ♂, body in alcohol, collected by Henry L. Ward and C.M. Teran on 19 February 1891.
- Type locality: “Las Vegas, Vz” [=Las Vigas, Canton of Jalapa, Veracruz, Mexico].
- Paratypes (n=2): IBUNAM:CNMA 9244, adult ♀, and IBUNAM:CNMA 9245, adult ♂, same data as for the holotype.
