- Neotype: LACM 36877, adult ♀, skin and skull, collected by A.L. Peracchi on 14 October 1968.
- Type locality: “Ostküste von Brasilien”, redesignated by neotype designation to “42 km S Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, elevation 33 m” by LaVal (1973: 9).
