Labeobarbus boulengeri Vreven et al., 2016

Name beeing a replacement name for Varicorhinus latirostris Boulenger, 1910, which has become a Labeobarbus and had no synonyms.

Type locality: Lucala River at Lucala, Angola.

Etymology: name given in acknowledgement of George Boulenger’s extensive work on Angolan large Barbus and Varicorhinus, both now Labeobarbus.
