Subfamilia: Troginae
Genus: Omorgus

Name
edit- Omorgus carinicollis Scholtz, 1986
- Authority for current placement: original
- undisputed by all subsequent authorities
- Incorrect original combination: Trox carinicollis
- Original genus: Omorgus Erichson, 1847
- Original status: valid species
- Primary type: holotype and presumably unique
- Fixation: designated
- Description: [adult] male
- Repository: WAM
- Type locality: 'Western Australia, Culham'
- NOTE: Having described this species (and others) in genus Trox subgenus Omorgus, Scholtz (1986: 1 fn) added as a postscript that 'in a recent paper (Scholtz 1986) the subgenus Omorgus Erichson was elevated to genus. Consequently, all native Australasian species belong to Omorgus'. I therefore consider that the correct original combination is with Omorgus, not Trox.
- Authority for current placement: original
