- Syntypes (n=4): BMNH 1946.1.18.24–26 (former BMNH 1908.6.30.7-9) and MCZ R-76634 (former BMNH 1908.6.30.10), all ♀, obtained by A.E. Pratt in May or June 1905.
- Type locality: “Dutch New Guinea, north of Fak Fak, altitude 1700 feet”.
