  • Holotype: NHR. [lost fide Lönnberg (1896: 26), rediscovered as misslabelled as Coluber mycterizans by Andersson (1899: 17), now considered lost fide Bailey, Thomas & Silva (2005: 86)]
  • Neotype: ZMUU 292, adult ♂, collector's name and collection dates unknown. [designated by Bailey, Thomas & Silva (2005: 87)]
  • Type locality: “Indiis” (in error), neotype without locality.
