- Holotype: ANWC M02086 (Field No. NGM 600), adult ♀, skin and skull, collected by W.B. Hitchcock on 8 August 1963.
- Type locality: “Minj-Nona Divide, Kubor Range, New Guinea (Lat. 6°02’S, Long. 144°45’E). The altitude of the type locality is approximately 2750 m”.
