Name

Spaeleoleptes spaeleus Soares, 1966

Type locality: BRAZIL, Minas Gerais, Cordisburgo, "Gruta do Maquiné" [= Lapa Nova de Maquiné cave (19°07′31ʺ S, 44°21′07ʺ W) per Pereira et al., 2024].

Typus: Holotype ♂ MZUSP-28463 (ex: MZUSP-OS 3187, coleção "Otto Schubart"), 24/25-X-1947, legit O. Schubart; Paratype 1 ♀ [and 1 ♂ ?], MZUSP-28462 (ex: MZUSP-OS 3187, coleção "Otto Schubart"), same data as holotype [1 ♀ detailed by Pereira et al., 2024 but no female in this collection mentioned by Soares, 1966
