Saguinus cruzlimai Hershkovitz, 1966

  • Holotype: based on a specimen figured in Cruz Lima’s (1945) plate 38, figure 3a, presuming it was preserved in the collection of the MPEG. [lost fide Silva-Júnior pers. comm. (1987)]
  • Neotype: INPA 6742, adult ♂, skin, skull and postcranial skeleton, collected by Ricardo Sampaio on 28 April 2011. [designated by Sampaio et al. (2015: 137)]
  • Type locality: “said to be from the upper Rio Purús region, Amazonas, Brazil” redesignated by neotype designation to “Vicinity of the Cujuri community (about six families) in the Purus National Forest, left bank of the Rio Inauini (left bank affluent of the middle Rio Purus), municipality of Pauini, Amazonas, Brazil (8°11'12.3" S; 67°11'12.3"W)” by Sampaio et al. (2015: 138).
