Type locality: Mt. Kiyako-kan, Sumiyō Village, Amami Ōshima, Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan.
Holotype: "four specimens without registration, and presumably destroyed in Hiroshima in 1945" [Kaneko, 2001: 31]
