Synonyms

• Rana bengalensis Gray, 1833: pl. 82, fig. 2
  • Holotype: Frog illustrated in original figure, deposition unknown, although possibly in possession of Thomas Hardwicke at one time and possibly transferred to BMNH but location now unknown and presumed lost.
  • Type locality: “Bengal”, India or Bangladesh.
