Bathyraja parmifera (Bean, 1881)

  • Holotype (unique): USNM 27651.

Type locality: Iliuliuk, Unalaska Island, Aleutian Islands, Alaska, U.S.A.

Etymology: From parma (= shield), and fero (= to bear), probably referring to median row of large spines on back and tail (From The ETYFish Project).
