- Lectotype: UUZM 290/2387, ♀, collected by Erik Nyman between June–November 1899. [designated by Kraus, Kaiser & O’Shea (2022: 1012)]
- Type locality: “Sattelberg”, at the eastern end of the Huon Peninsula, Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea.
- Paralectotype: BMNH 1946.1.17.57 (former BMNH 1900.9.21.6), ♀, same data as the lectotype; third syntype is lost fide Kraus, Kaiser & O’Shea (2022: 1012).
