  • Type locality: “Spitchweek, near forest of Dartmoor” Devonshire, England, redefined by neotype designation as “Chew Valley Lake, Bath and North East Somersert, south west England (51º 22' N, 02º 37' W)” by Jones & Barratt (1999: 184); Opinion 2028: 85.
  • Placed on the Official List of Specific Names in Zoology (Opinion 2028).
