  • graniceps Broun: Holotype (unique): BMNH NOTE: Broun (1883: 300) stated 'I found one individual amongst sea-weed north of Whangarei Harbour', clearly indicating a unique holotype. Neverthless, Stebnicka (2001: 21) designated it as lectotype.

    • Type locality: North of Whangarei Harbour, New Zealand ND
  • lobatus Broun: Holotype: BMNH NOTE: Broun (1893: 1114) stated 'Taranaki. One found on the sea-shore', clearly indicating a unique holotype. Neverthless, Stebnicka (2001: 22) designated it as lectotype
