Holotype: TM 38178, ♀, collected by G.-F. de Witte between 13–27 September 1947.
Type locality: “Kanonga River, a tributary of the right bank of the Fungwe River (695 m), Upemba National Park, Shaba Province, Zaire [=Democratic Republic of the Congo]”.
