Lectotype: BMNH 1913.12.4.58-60. Paralectotypes: BMNH 1913.12.4.58-60 (2 of 3).

Type locality: Antarctica, South of Balleny Island, depth 200 fathoms [370 meters].

Etymology: Named after its location.
