Name

Ophiactis profundi Lütken & Mortensen, 1899

Type locality: Pacific Ocean. Galapagos and NE of Malpalo Island, Colombia.

Syntypes: MCZ OPH-1189 [1]; USNM 19516 [2]; USNM 19517 [3].

Note: H.L. Clark (1918: 301) synonymised it with Ophiactis plana, then synonymy have been rejected by Mortensen (1924: 130).
