Type species: Molossops mattogrossensis Vieira, 1942, by original designation.
Taxonomic note: Originally drescribed as a genus, was reduced to subgenus of Molossops by Freeman (1981: 156) and Koopman (1993: 234), and restaured to genus rank by Eger (2007: 429) and Gregorin and Cirranello (2016: 11).
