Microsynodontis laevigatus Ng, 2004

  • Holotype: CU 89407.
  • Paratypes: CU 88265 (13).

Type locality: Makokoe, 0°35'08"N, 12°51'22"E [1], small creek flowing into Ivindo River, Ivindo River drainage, Ogooué-Ivindo Province, Gabon.

Etymology: The specific name is from the Latin laevigatus (= smooth), in reference to the smooth anterior edge of the pectoral spine.
