Replacement name used by Berlese (1923) and in his collection in Firenze.
Misspelled Micrereneytes (Fain & Van Goethem, 1986: 127).
According to Fain & Camerik (1994: 153), Trouessart & Berlese (1919) assumed that the name Ereynetes was a junior homonym of Ereunetes Illiger, 1911 (Aves).
Name still used by Hallyday (1998: 1995).
