Melanophidium bilineatum Beddome, 1870: 170

  • Lectotype: BMNH 1946.1.15.75 (72.1.2.5), adult ♂, collected by R.H. Beddome between 1857–1882. [designated by Gower et al. (2016: 490)]
  • Type locality: “near the summit of the Peria peak in the Wynaad, elevation 5,000 feet, and also at a similar elevation on the Tirrhioot peak”, restricted by lectotype designation to “Peria peak, Wynad” by Gower et al. (2016: 490).
  • Paralectotype: MNHN-RA-1895.111.
