Holotype: USNM 216345. Paratypes: CAS 33808 (10); IMARPE 1199 (1); LACM 35562-1 (10); UF 232871 [ex UMML 32871] (5); USNM 216346 (22).

Type locality: Northern Peru, 5°02'S, 81°24'W, Anton Bruun cruise 16, station 627A, depth 195-316 meter.[1]
