- Holotype: BMNH 1946.1.2.44, ♀, collected by F.D. Godman & O. Salvin between 1861–1863.
- Type locality: “Southern Mexico”, restricted to “Huajintlán, Guerrero, Mexico” by Smith & Taylor (1950: 331).
