Type locality: TAIWAN. Kao-hsiung Hsien: Meishan-Tinchi (alt. 1800～2300m) near Wu-she.

Holotype: (male ♂, 29 June 1986; K. Baba)

Glyphonyx rubricollis auct. non Miwa 1928: Kishii, 1989: 39 (Meishan-Tinchi), pro parte.
