- Holotype: BMNH, DHJPAR0028805, 05-SRNP-33942, ♀, 18.ix.2005, M. Rios.
- Etymology: This species is named after Henry K. Townes, in recognition of his contribution to the understanding of ACG Hymenoptera taxonomy.
