Holotype: Coll. Gil-T. Female ♀. 10-VI.2012.

Type locality: Sierra Cabrilla (near Sierra Prieta), N. Yunquera, E. Serranía de Ronda, Málaga province, S. Andalusia Region, S. Spain.

Notes:
  • This subspecies is regarded as the most differentiated of all the taxa described of Eumedonia eumedon in the Palearctic Region.
  • Eumedonia is a different genus to Aricia according to recent molecular studies.
