Type locality: beating vegetation and puffing in tropical dry forest at 100 m elevation, Forêt de Kirindy, 15.5 km 64° ENE of Marofandilia, Toliara province, Madagascar.
Holotype: CAS. male ♂. 28.XI.-3.XII.2001. legit Fisher/Griswold Arthropod Survey team. CASENT 9018929.
