- Type locality: Upper Andrews Quarry (19° 43' S, 145° 36' E). Allingham Formation, Bluff Downs, Bluff Downs Station, north-eastern Queensland.
- Horizon: Early Pliocene. based on the radiometrically dated age of the overlying basalts (Archer & Wade 1976)
- Holotype: QMF30576, a partially articulated carapace and associated plastron
