Type locality: Mexico, Chiapas, about 20 miles N. of Tapachula, near Cacahuatan, south slope of Volcan Tacaná, Finca Guatimoc, 4000-5000ft.
Holotype: AMNH. female ♀. 8.VIII. and 12.VIII.1950. legit C. and M. Goodnight.
