Type locality: Kohananoe-gô-Hananoe-gô,1640-1650m alt. Yaku-chô, Yaku-shima Is.,Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan

Holotype: NSMT. male ♂. 05-06.VIII.1978. legit O. Tominaga.
