Paracobitis malapterura (Valenciennes in Cuvier & Valenciennes, 1846)

  • Syntypes: MNHN 0000-3962 (1), B-3070 [ex MNHN 0000-3962] (1).

Type locality: Sent from Syria.

Etymology: From malacos (= soft), and ptera (= fin), and oura (= tail), probably referring to dorsal adipose keel. (From The ETYFish Project)
