Ancistrus greeni (Isbrücker in Isbrücker et al., 2001)

Replacement name for Chaetostomus maculatus Regan, 1904, preoccupied by Chaetostomus cirrhosus var. maculata Steindachner, 1882.

  • Syntypes: BMNH 1903.10.12.3-4 (2).

Type locality: "Rozmaiu, Upper Peru" [locality uncertain, Peru likely].

Etymology: in honor of J. Green who made the drawings for Regan's monograph on loricariids.
