Mesobuthus afghanus (Pocock, 1889)

Type locality: Iran, Razavi Khorasan Province, between Harirud Valley and Meshed. (36.30°N 59.44°E).

Lectotype: BMNH. female ♀. legit J.E.T. Aitchison. BMNH 87.51. (lectotype designated by Kovařík et al., 2022: 8)
