Type locality: Chile, IV Región, Elqui Province, 5 km from Punta Choros, near the route to Choros, 29°14'29.0 S, 71°25'45.9 W, 12 m a.s.l.
Holotype: MACN. male ♂. 22.II.2006. legit A.A. Ojanguren-Affilastro, L. Compagnucci, and A.C. Cuezzo. MACN-Ar 12246.
