Lagiacrusichthys macropinna (Bussing & Bussing, 1966)

  • Holotype: LACM 10118.
  • Paratypes: BMNH 1965.5.26.4 (1); LACM 10119-10144 (26 specimens); SIO 61-42 (1); USNM 231721 [ex 260173-F1] (1), 231722 [ex 260173-F2] (1).

Type locality: Scotia Sea, 56°17'S, 58°09'W, Eltanin station 359, depth 0-840 meters over 3960-3990 meters.

Etymology: The specific name macropinna [from the Greek makros (= large) and the Latin pinna (= fin)] is given in reference of the large anal fin of this species.
