Labeobarbus microbarbis (David & Poll, 1937)

Status: hybrids of Labeobarbus ruasae x Labeobarbus ruandae

  • Holotype: MRAC 41847.
  • Paratypes: MRAC 41848-49 (2) (but later re-identified as belonging to Labeobarbus ruandae).

Type locality: Lake Luhondo, Rwanda, 1°30'S, 29°45'E.

Etymology: micro- (= small); barbis (= barbel), referring to pair of rudimentary barbels that appear to exist only on adults. (From The ETYFish project)
