  • Holotype: CVULA I-3225 (original field number: JMA 896), adult ♂, skin, skull and partial postcranial skeleton, collected by Jesus Molinari Andueza and Juan Luis Concepcion Curbelo on 17 January 1989.
  • Type locality: “Cueva del Salado, 4 km E Bailadores, Estado Merida, Venezuela, elevation 2000 m”.
